Diagram of the path from now to the past, 2024, D.N.K. FILOART

The "Diagram of the Path from Present to Past" delineates the myriad channels through which humans perceive information. It illustrates, for instance, the journey of light as it enters our eyes, tracing its path to the brain. Similarly, it elucidates the process of savoring a cup of coffee—how the liquid is ingested through the mouth or its aroma perceived, followed by the transmission of information to the brain. Another example delves into the realm of touch, depicting how sensations from the tactile experience of objects are relayed to the brain. Furthermore, it portrays the encounter with a mosquito, elucidating how its interaction with our skin and subsequent blood consumption relay information to the brain. Lastly, the diagram encapsulates the temporal aspect of auditory perception, illustrating how music, upon reaching our ears, becomes a part of the past within the realm of cognition. However, by the time this information reaches our brain, the "now" has already transitioned into the past.
